An update on tariffs and deliveries for the USA – Christopher Ward

Email received from Christopher Ward:

Dear American friend,

Given the ever-evolving situation regarding tariffs and deliveries into the United States, I thought you might appreciate an update on how Christopher Ward is handling these issues:

Tariffs

  • We have applied the additional 10% tariff at the checkout so you can see very clearly the total purchase price of your watch. We know how many of you appreciate this transparency.
  • The 10% tariff will also apply to watches bought on pre-order. In the, hopefully, unlikely case the tariff rate increases between now and a pre-ordered watch being delivered, Christopher Ward will absorb the additional cost.
  • As I mentioned in an earlier email, as extra reassurance, should tariffs be reduced at any point between your pre-order and despatch, we will refund the difference to you.

Deliveries into US

  • All good. There has been no disruption to our shipments into the US. We are aware that customs clearance in the US is taking longer with increased administration, and that means it is likely to take a little longer for your watch to arrive, but that is the only impact at present.

As ever, our unique 3x cost model, commitment to fair margins, and relentless focus on innovation and quality mean that – even with the additional tariff – Christopher Ward remains, in my humble (if slightly biased) opinion, the best value premium watchmaker in the world.

Finally, our Customer Experience Team are always on hand to answer any questions you may have about the above, or anything else for that matter, at customerservices@christopherward.co.uk.

Warmest regards,

Mike France, Co-Founder of Christopher Ward
