The first C63 Sealander GMT with an ultra-accurate chronometer movement. Boasting a new sunray dial in silver and rhodium that’s impossible to ignore. All in a watch that’s limited to just 50 pieces. The C63 Sealander GMT is already the go-to watch for fans of the fixed-bezel ‘GMT explorers’ of the 1970s. This limited edition just makes it even more essential. But with only 50 in existence – and a price that’s as enticing as the watch – it won’t be around for long.
The first COSC Sealander GMT!
Since its launch in 2021, the fixed-bezel C63 Sealander GMT has been one of our bestselling watches. But it’s only now that we’re offering it with a COSC-certified chronometer movement. So you get ultra-precise timekeeping alongside the ability to monitor two time zones at once – and a modest price that makes it irresistible.
The only caveat is that there are just 50 in existence.
As with the other Sealander GMTs, this limited edition looks back to the classic ‘GMT-explorer’ watches of the 1970s – and then updates it for today. Unlike most GMT watches, the C63 Sealander GMT has a fixed outer bezel. The early GMT-explorers were designed for cavers underground who needed to know whether the time was ‘AM’ or ‘PM’ and used the fourth hand and fixed 24-hour bezel to ascertain this. You can use your C63 Sealander’s GMT hand this way or monitor the time zone of your choice – as you would on a traditional GMT.
The new dial is another revelation. Made from silver and rhodium, its sunray finishing provides the perfect canvas for the lume-soaked handset. There’s also a date window at 6 o’ clock, which gives you more information and also balances the Christopher Ward logo at 12.
Made from marine-grade 316L stainless steel, the 39mm Light-catcher™ case is not only sized to suit every wrist but comfortable to wear and hypnotising to look at – especially when light bounces off its brushed and polished surfaces.
Powering the watch is a chronometer version Sellita SW330-1 GMT, a movement that allows you to set the fourth hand separately. As well being robust, it has a minimum power reserve of 50 hours – easily enough for a weekend away. And because it’s a chronometer, it’s in the top six percent of all Swiss movements for accuracy.
The watch’s indexes and hands-set are coated with Super-LumiNova® Grade X1 BL C1 for visibility in low light. Something that offers vital information when you’re exploring the darker recesses of the planet. And because this is a watch made for land or sea, water-resistance is guaranteed to 150m.
Finally, if you like to change up your timepiece, swapping a bracelet for a strap is super-easy thanks to our pioneering quick-release system.
Sellita SW330-1 GMT
The new Sellita SW330-1 is an alternative to the ETA 2893, and a movement that provides both superb accuracy and GMT timing.
Just 4.1mm thick, the SW330-1 has 25 jewels and beats at a rate of 28,800 per hour with a power reserve of up to 56 hours. The central GMT hand can be set independently from the hour and seconds hands.
