The key to understanding the watch are its three layers of exclusivity. First, its relative scarcity: only 500 have been made, so once it’s sold out, that’s it.

Secondly, the bronze Light-catcher™ case. An alloy made from copper and tin, bronze ages beautifully, developing a unique patina that increases over time. It’s also salt-water- resistant, something you’ll appreciate when you’re swimming or on a diving expedition.

Finally, the ‘ombré’ dial. Crafted in aged bronze, each dial has been individually ‘distressed’ by hand, to give an aged, worn look. Due to the process employed, no one dial is ever the same as another.

And that’s just the starting point. The C60 Trident Bronze Ombré COSC Limited Edition is also an advanced diving tool (identical to a Trident 3) that’s not only waterproof to 600m, but powered by a certified chronometer, delivering the highest level of accuracy – even half a kilometre down.

A diving bezel – here in matte-black ceramic – enables you to time ascents from the depths, while visibility in low light comes from the Super-LumiNova® Grade X1 GL C1 found on the hands, indexes and bezel.

Sellita SW200 COSC Automatic

Designed for those who demand the highest standards of timekeeping, this Swiss-made automatic movement has been officially designated as a ‘chronometer’ by the Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres.

This means it has a certified timing tolerance of just -4/+6 seconds per day in a variety of temperatures and positions, putting it in the top six percent of Swiss-made watches for accuracy.

The movement boasts a date wheel, a 4Hz frequency (equating to a smooth eight ticks per second) and a 38-hour power reserve. It also has an in-built anti-shock system to maintain accuracy when faced with any sudden jolts.

The dial that has it all

A dial is a canvas: and here it’s been used to the fullest extent. Each dial has been embellished by hand (we employ someone especially to do this), which gives it an organic textured look you’ll be instantly drawn to.

A bezel for every depth

Constructed in non-scratch ceramic, the diving bezel is highly legible, thanks to the contrast between the matte-black surface and lume-filled numerals. It’s also got a reassuringly solid ‘click’ – as you’ll find out when you give it a turn.

You need hands

In perfect contrast to the dial, the hands have brushed and polished surfaces that ensure legibility and provide a pleasing sense of balance. Both hands are filled with Super-LumiNova® Grade X1 GL C1 for visibility in low light.

On-point indexes

If the dial is human and organic, then the indexes convey a feeling of total precision. Top-brushed with diamond-polished facets, each one is filled with Super-LumiNova® Grade X1 GL C1 for timekeeping after dark.

Brush up on bronze

The entire bronze Light-catcher™ case has been brushed – rather than polished – lending the watch a rugged, near-unfinished appearance. The result is something that pairs beautifully with jeans and a T-shirt, but also adds grit to a smarter outfit.
