      C60 Trident Elite 1000

      By Admin, in C60,

Arriving alongside Trident 3, the C60 Trident Elite 1000 is a special new addition to our dive family. With a helium release valve and Grade 2 titanium case water-resistant to 1000m, it's a dive watch with serious technical pedigree; and that's before any mention has been made of this 300-piece limited edition's chronometer-certified movement and stunning blue and orange colour scheme...
      Description
With pressure increasing substantially below the ocean's surface, deep water diving requires an altogether more durable kind of dive watch. Enter the C60 Trident Elite 1000, whose 1000m water-resistance and automatic helium release valve confirm its status as the ultimate choice for any seasoned dive professional (although we'd still recommend a dive computer to be on the safe side!).

In the Elite 1000, Trident 3's new case design has been crafted from brushed Grade 2 titanium. Famed for its anti-corrosive qualities and possessing the highest strength-to-density ratio of any metallic element, it's the perfect fit for a dive watch; combined with a sapphire crystal 3.8mm thick, the Elite 1000 is impressively tough for its slender 75g weight.

A number of upgrades introduced as part of Trident 3 materialise in the Elite 1000. The application of Grade X1 GL C1 Super-LumiNova® fulfils a long-standing customer request for a fully lumed bezel, which also sports an orange 15-minute track and lume triangle. A glossy blue dial, combined with Super-LumiNova®-filled hands and brushed and polished indexes, offers exceptional clarity in all lighting conditions; our signature trident-shaped counter-balance also makes a welcome return.

If you find you spend a lot of time in the ocean's mesopelagic zone - or maybe you just fancy a beautifully robust piece of engineering on your wrist - the C60 Trident Elite 1000 is the watch for you. With just 300 of these special chronometers available, catch it while you can.
      Movement
This COSC (Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres) version of the Sellita SW200 has been tested in a range of positions and temperatures to gain its valued 'chronometer' certification. To achieve this, a mechanical watch must achieve an accuracy during these tests of between -4/+6 seconds a day. Only 6% of all Swiss movements attain this, while its appearance in many watches in far higher price brackets confirms its place as a trusted calibre throughout the industry.

Inside the C60 Trident Elite 1000, the SW200's rotor has received a Colimaçoné finish before being engraved with the twin flags pattern reflective of our Anglo-Swiss partnership. Combined with a 38 hour power reserve, plus an anti-shock system and 4Hz frequency working together to deliver a smooth eight ticks a second throughout all manner of activities, this chronometer-certified version of SW200 can be relied upon wherever the Elite 1000 goes.

For those who had been waiting for our motorsport collection to add a three-handed automatic option to its ranks, the C7 Rapide Automatic is the thrilling addition they've been waiting for. After much positive customer feedback, we are also very pleased to introduce a striking diamond-like carbon (DLC) black and red case combination to the range - this is a sleek speedster of a watch.
      Description
After the success of the C7 Rapide Day Date COSC, a limited edition distinctive in our motorsport Collection for its diamond-like carbon (DLC) case and contrasting red aluminium band, we received a number of requests for that same design to become part of the C7 Rapide Automatic family. In this case [excuse the pun], we were only too happy to oblige!

Comprised of four separate pieces that have been inspired by the sleek architecture of high-performance sports cars, assembly is a complex process. Its lugs, for example - turned and milled to create their distinctive curved shape - also help support the middle part of the case, while a matte red aluminium band provides a slimmer feel. A clever cohesion of smooth arcs and textures, it's rounded off with our twin-flag logo engraved on the crown and its deep-stamped backplate.

From one glance at its dial, the Rapide Automatic's automotive influences are immediately apparent: double-height and polished numerals - filled in their centre with SuperLuminova for enhanced legibility - alternate with sloping and faceted indexes. A full minute track with inner triple minute marks provides all-important precision reading the time, its first ten minutes highlighted like a dashboard's rev counter to match the colour of its second hand. Our award-winning 'twin flag' logo appears at 12 o'clock.
      Movement
With 26 jewels and an anti-shock system (necessary for ensuring smooth timekeeping throughout those tight chicanes), the Sellita sw200-1 is an industry-revered movement. Dependable and accurate, it features a self-winding mechanism and a 38 hour power reserve, while a date wheel sits at 3 o'clock.

Boasting a classic frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (that's eight ticks a second), the SW200-1 powers the C7 Rapide Automatic with supreme precision.

      CW C60 Trident 300 Quartz

      By Admin, in C60,

The 300 is based on the original Trident but with a completely re-engineered 316L marine-grade stainless steel case that houses a Swiss Ronda 715 quartz movement. Tough, stylish and incredible value - everyone can fall in love with the 300.
      Description
Our mission has always been to make premium quality watches available to everyone and with the new C60 Trident 300 we've done just that.

The design of the 300 is based on the original Trident but with a completely re-engineered 316L marine-grade stainless steel case that houses a Swiss Ronda 715 quartz movement. And, befitting its dive-watch DNA, it's water-resistant to 300 metres (1,000ft).

The unidirectional bezel is constructed of aviation-grade aluminium, while the backplate - redesigned with subtle lines and a combination of brushed and polished surfaces that create a slimmer profile - has the Trident motif deep-stamped and prominent.

As at home in the boardroom as under the sea, the C60 Trident 300 is a watch everyone can fall in love with.
      Movement
A Swiss quartz movement with five jewels and a gold-plated finish, the Ronda 715 is accurate to -10/+20 seconds a month.

Its battery life has the potential to last up to 60 months from its date of production, if the movement’s power saving mode is employed. This is achieved by pulling the crown out when the watch is not in use, improving energy consumption by up to 70%.

Taking our popular C60 Trident Day Date COSC and updating it with a bold new aesthetic, this new limited edition model is for those who seek robust technicality, modern dive watch looks, and the extra day date functionality afforded by its Swiss-made ETA 2836 movement.
      Description
New for the summer of 2017, we are proud to present a new addition to our C60 Trident Day Date range. Limited to 200 pieces only, this is not one to miss.

Inheriting the modern stylings of our Trident Pro 600, this model retains certain details that our dive watch collection is celebrated for - the guilloche dial and distinctive hour and minute hands - before embellishing it with new touches.

The Trident counter-balance on the second hand, plus an inverted triangle on the fully tracked ceramic bezel, are finished in red, adding a dashing splash of colour to the watch's striking appearance. Selected especially for this model, a Swiss-made ETA 2836 movement keeps the Trident Day Date running with guaranteed efficiency.

Behind its elegant monochrome visuals, the Day Date has been constructed using the best materials our design and production teams could secure. Using marine-grade 316L stainless steel, its case ensures water-resistance at depths down to 600m, while a flat top sapphire crystal protects the dial.

The result is a watch that is as tough as it is eye-catching.
      Movement
Using the ubiquitous ETA 2824 as its basis, the 2836-2 COSC adds a day wheel mechanism to complement its date function.

Just as importantly, each 2836-2 COSC calibre has been certified by the independent Controle Officiel Suisse des Chronometres, making it about as accurate as a mechanical movement can be.

To achieve 'chronometer' status, the movement must be accurate to within at least -4/+6 seconds per day in different positions and temperatures.

That only six per cent of all Swiss movements are COSC-certified tells you how special this movement is.

      100 piece limited edition
Presenting a striking perspective on our Trident aesthetic, thanks to a red seconds hand and a recessed triangular design on its bezel, this special watch - limited to 100 pieces only - will stand out anywhere.
      Description
New for summer 2017, the C60 Trident Pro COSC Limited Edition inherits the good looks of our Pro 600 range, before updating them with a striking monochrome scheme and the introduction of a chronometer-certified movement.

Allowing enhanced precision, the COSC Limited Edition features a fully tracked zirconia (ZrO2) ceramic bezel, while the introduction of an inverted red triangle at its 12 o'clock point is a unique, striking touch.

Denoting the collection's aquatic heritage, our Trident-shaped counter-balance has also been finished in red, contrasting against the wave guilloche pattern of the dial. A constant feature throughout the collection, the Trident motif has been deep-stamped into the watch's screw-down backplate.

As suited to the office as it is to the beach, the C60 Trident Pro COSC Limited Edition is a watch that'll capture the imagination with its stunning colour scheme and impressive technicality.

This COSC (Controle Officiel Suisse des Chronometres) version of the Sellita SW200 has been tested in a range of positions and temperatures to gain its valued 'chronometer' certification.

      CW C60 Trident COSC 600 SH21

      By Admin, in C60,

Housing our very own Calibre SH21 movement (which has a power reserve of 120 hours), this diving watch mixes unmatched construction with incredible accuracy. Tough, beautiful and reliable - just as a dive watch should be.
      Description
With our in-house, 120-hour power reserve automatic Calibre SH21 at its heart, the C60 Trident COSC 600 is something very special.

The engineering excellence of Johannes Jahnke's ground-breaking movement is matched by the all-new marine-grade stainless steel case which will keep Calibre SH21 dry all the way down to a remarkable depth of 600 metres (2,000 ft). Not only that, the zirconia (ZrO2) ceramic bezel will resist whatever knocks and scratches it gets on the way down.

Of course, few of us will test the C60 Trident COSC 600 to its limits but we'll all relish the prospect of owning a watch as beautiful and important.
      Movement
Launched in 2014, our in-house movement, Calibre SH21, was the first entirely new mechanical movement by a British watch brand since the 1950s.

Our master watchmaker, Johannes Jahnke, conceived and developed SH21 using baukasten design principles and the goal of producing a robust, reliable movement.

The 164 separate parts that make up SH21 include two barrels that provide an incredible power reserve of five days when fully wound.

The Trident Pro 600 is a bestseller for a reason. With a stainless steel case and scratch-resistant bezel, it's a classic diving watch with ground-breaking technical capabilities.
      Description
A true CW bestseller, the Pro 600 combines modern dive watch looks with the robust build quality you'd expect of a Trident.

Reintroducing a colour frequently requested by our customers – and one absent from our dive collection until only recently as our design team sought the perfect shade to use – we are pleased to welcome blue back to the Pro 600 range.

A 316L marine-grade stainless steel case incorporates a scratch-resistant zirconia (ZrO2) ceramic unidirectional bezel – which, along with this Pro 600’s wavy guilloche dial, is finished in a luscious marine blue – while the watch is watertight at depths of up to 600 metres (2,000ft) - twice that of its predecessor.

The twin flag-embossed crown is easier to use, while the backplate has the Trident motif deep-stamped and prominent. And if the self-winding Sellita SW200-1 movement is the same, it's only because there's no better available mechanism for this watch.
      Movement
With 26 jewels and an anti-shock system (necessary for ensuring smooth timekeeping throughout everyday use), the Sellita SW200-1 is an industry-revered movement. Dependable and accurate, it features a self-winding mechanism and a 38 hour power reserve, while a date wheel sits at 3 o'clock.

Boasting a classic frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (that's eight ticks a second), the SW200-1 powers the C60 Trident Pro 600 with supreme precision.

      CW C65 Trident Classic Mk2

      By Admin, in C65,

Although sharing a number of design cues with the C60 Trident, the C65 is unmistakably a dress watch (though with diving in its DNA). Thanks to its satin-finish stainless steel case and understated dial, it'll accentuate any outfit (on men or women).
      Description
Although sharing a number of design cues with the C60 Tridents, the C65 is unmistakably a dress watch first and foremost, albeit with sporting DNA.

From the re-engineered, satin-finish stainless steel case with its deep-stamped Trident emblem on the reverse side, to the sharpness of the raised, SuperLuminova-filled nickel indexes, this is a watch that demands closer examination.

If cutting a stylish, sophisticated dash is important, the C65 Trident Classic is the watch for you. No wonder that inside CW Towers it’s called the 'George Clooney'.
      Movement
Swiss movement manufacturer Sellita started as an outsourced manufacturer of ETA's 2824-2 movement.

Changes in the industry, and the expiry of IP rights associated with the 2824, led to Sellita developing its own virtually identical version, the SW200-1. The only real difference is the addition of a 26th jewel which sits just below the ratchet wheel and reduces friction associated with automatic winding.

CW C60 Trident Day Date COSC - Black

      By Admin, in C60,

      200-piece Limited Edition
A function long-requested by our customers, this limited edition chronometer introduces a day date complication to our bestselling range. Combine that with a water-resistance of 600m, and this watch is the perfect union of function and form.
      Description
Limited to 200 pieces, the Trident Day Date shares many common details with its Trident Pro 600 sibling. It keeps the same marine-grade 316L stainless steel case and ceramic bezel that proved so popular in our bestselling watch, while the Trident-stamped backplate and embossed crown provide that reassuring touch of familiarity.

However, opposite from the Christopher Ward logo at 9 o'clock sits a new day date complication, powered by a chronometer-certified ETA 2836 automatic movement. Not only does this new feature make this watch unique in the Trident range, but it also promises an accuracy of timekeeping that places it within the top six percent of Swiss watches.

Water-resistant to 600m, you can be sure that the Trident Day Date can withstand the toughest conditions; it'll also manage it with considerable style.
      Movement
About as accurate as a mechanical movement gets, each 2836-2 COSC calibre has been certified by the independent Controle Officiel Suisse des Chronometres.

To achieve 'chronometer' status, the movement must be accurate to within at least -4/+6 seconds per day in different positions and temperatures.

That only six per cent of all Swiss movements are COSC-certified tells you how special this movement is.

      C8 Flyer Automatic Mk1

      By Admin, in C8,

One the world's most iconic aircraft, the Supermarine Spitfire, is celebrated in this stunning automatic watch. Inspired the design of the plane's cockpit clock, it's the perfect pilot's watch.
      Description
The distinguished history of British aviation has been largely ignored by watch designers in favour of the ubiquitous B-Uhr style - until now.

Our C8 Flyer Automatic, powered by one of two famous mechanical movements, celebrates two icons of Britain’s flying heritage: the Supermarine Spitfire and the Farnborough wind tunnels. The latter helped shape the aerodynamics of many aircraft - including the Spitfire itself.

Based on the Smith’s Mark II A clock found in the instrument panel of the Spitfire, the C8’s dial’s wonderfully retro design is augmented by high-grade lume for easy reading in the dark.

The Farnborough tunnels are represented by a 3D-stamped representation of their mahogany blades on the caseback, while the attention-to-aviation-detail is completed by the over-sized ‘onion’ crown.
      Movement
The ETA 2824-2 and/or the Sellita SW200-1 (identical apart from an additional 26th jewel) self-winding mechanical movements are the most common in fine watchmaking.

A solid construction, including a strong mainspring, makes them reliable and robust, with both boasting a classic frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (that's eight ticks per second).

      They're also excellent timekeepers.

Combining the rugged '60s appearance of our acclaimed C65 Trident Diver with the convenience of a self-winding Swiss-made movement, the C65 Trident Automatic offers more than just a mechanical upgrade: with the adoption of raised circular indexes and a refined dial aesthetic, the Automatic has its own iconic look and feel.
      Description
A watch that pushes our C65 range's aesthetic further forward - in era, design and technicality - the C65 Trident Automatic takes the aspects that made the C65 Trident Diver such a hit, and then adds a refreshing twist.

While an identity shift is evident in the C65 Trident Automatic, it's not a total departure. Even with the presence of a rotor used by its Swiss-made mechanical movement, the C65 still features the very same brushed and polished case as its hand-wound counterpart; sleek yet rugged, it too retains the 41mm size that proved such a sweet spot for many. Elsewhere, its trident deep-stamped backplate is a nod to the C65's dive watch roots, while its 150m water resistance is atypical of the watches worn over neoprene some fifty years ago.

But some subtle changes have been made that advance the Diver Automatic's aesthetic into a new territory. Its bespoke unidirectional aluminium bezel has been stripped back to feature only Arabic numerals; similarly, its dial also dispenses with the millisecond indexes of the model preceding it. The most notable addition, though, is the adoption of circular shaped indexes - a reference to the Rolex Submariner, an undoubted icon of the late '60s period. Filled with Old Radium SuperLumiNova and surrounded by polished bevelling, they contribute to uncluttered dial aesthetic that guarantees the C65 Trident Automatic will impress in dressy and casual situations every bit as much as the underwater ones.
      Movement
The other star of the show, a Swiss-made Sellita SW200-1 movement, purrs away inside the C65 Trident Diver Automatic. A self-winding calibre widely relied upon throughout many releases in the Christopher Ward Collection, its 4Hz frequency equates to a smooth 8 ticks a second, while an in-built shock system ensures the C65 will cope with all manner of bumps and impacts - think dive entry and the like - with ease. Symbolic of the quality present throughout the C65, the rotor that'll help keep the SW200-1's 38 hour power reserve topped up during use has also been decorated with Christopher Ward's twin flag pattern; it's a level of detail nobody will see, but it's reassuring to know it's there all the same.
