Combining the rugged '60s appearance of our acclaimed C65 Trident Diver with the convenience of a self-winding Swiss-made movement, the C65 Trident Automatic offers more than just a mechanical upgrade: with the adoption of raised circular indexes and a refined dial aesthetic, the Automatic has its own iconic look and feel.
      Description
A watch that pushes our C65 range's aesthetic further forward - in era, design and technicality - the C65 Trident Automatic takes the aspects that made the C65 Trident Diver such a hit, and then adds a refreshing twist.

While an identity shift is evident in the C65 Trident Automatic, it's not a total departure. Even with the presence of a rotor used by its Swiss-made mechanical movement, the C65 still features the very same brushed and polished case as its hand-wound counterpart; sleek yet rugged, it too retains the 41mm size that proved such a sweet spot for many. Elsewhere, its trident deep-stamped backplate is a nod to the C65's dive watch roots, while its 150m water resistance is atypical of the watches worn over neoprene some fifty years ago.

But some subtle changes have been made that advance the Diver Automatic's aesthetic into a new territory. Its bespoke unidirectional aluminium bezel has been stripped back to feature only Arabic numerals; similarly, its dial also dispenses with the millisecond indexes of the model preceding it. The most notable addition, though, is the adoption of circular shaped indexes - a reference to the Rolex Submariner, an undoubted icon of the late '60s period. Filled with Old Radium SuperLumiNova and surrounded by polished bevelling, they contribute to uncluttered dial aesthetic that guarantees the C65 Trident Automatic will impress in dressy and casual situations every bit as much as the underwater ones.
      Movement
The other star of the show, a Swiss-made Sellita SW200-1 movement, purrs away inside the C65 Trident Diver Automatic. A self-winding calibre widely relied upon throughout many releases in the Christopher Ward Collection, its 4Hz frequency equates to a smooth 8 ticks a second, while an in-built shock system ensures the C65 will cope with all manner of bumps and impacts - think dive entry and the like - with ease. Symbolic of the quality present throughout the C65, the rotor that'll help keep the SW200-1's 38 hour power reserve topped up during use has also been decorated with Christopher Ward's twin flag pattern; it's a level of detail nobody will see, but it's reassuring to know it's there all the same.

      CW C65 Trident Vintage

      By Admin, in C65,

A homage to a period defined by its earthy colours and minimalist charms, the C65 Trident Vintage is a 38mm watch with distinctly retro styling. A great everyday timepiece, its size makes it ideal for wrists of all sizes.
      Old style, new watch
One of the first designs to carry our new logo, the C65 Trident Vintage really does go back to the future.

Housed in a 38mm brushed and polished stainless steel case, the introduction of a ‘glass box’ sapphire crystal further enhances the Vintage’s retro credentials. The use of ‘Old Radium’ luminescent paint on the dial and completely re-designed hands then add an extra touch of functionality.

The new Christopher Ward logo sits at the 9 o’clock position, finding a pleasing balance against the date wheel opposite. Finally, there’s a nod to our tradition: the Trident motif retains its place on the watch’s second hand counter-balance.
      Timekeeping: sorted
With 26 jewels and an anti-shock system (necessary for ensuring smooth timekeeping throughout everyday use), the Sellita
SW200-1 is an industry-revered movement. Dependable and accurate, it features a self-winding mechanism and a 38 hour power reserve, while a date wheel sits at 3 o'clock.

Boasting a classic frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (that's eight ticks a second), the SW200-1 powers the C65 Trident Vintage Edition with supreme precision.

      CW C8 Flyer Quartz

      By Admin, in C8,

Combining British influences with the Swiss precision of its quartz movement, the C8 Flyer Quartz is for those who seek a boldly different take on an aviation watch.
      Description
A watch of superior accuracy thanks to its Swiss-made quartz movement, the C8 Flyer Quartz embraces the distinctive aesthetic of our aviation collection. The results are dynamic, legible and befittingly British, thanks to a design informed by the Smiths Mk II clock found inside the Spitfire.

Underneath anti-reflective crystal, the Quartz's dial is finished in matte black, with cutaway markers revealing a lume-coated two layered dial underneath. Gunmetal hands, numerals and and indexes are also filled with SuperLuminova for exceptional legibility in all conditions.

Available with a diamond-like carbon (DLC) or steel finish, the Quartz's 44mm case references the larger sizes of yesteryear. For reasons of practicality, the push-down crown has grooved teeth to assist grip, while an engraved profile of a wind tunnel - also deep-stamped into the backplate - is a fitting reference to the Farnborough facility that helped transform the fortunes of the British aviation industry.
      Movement
An ultra-reliable Swiss quartz movement with five jewels and a gold-plated finish, the Ronda 715 is accurate to -10/+20 seconds a month.

It also has an extremely long battery life of up to 60 months, cleverly extended when not in use by having the crown stem out. In this mode, battery usage is reduced by 70 per cent.

Do you believe in “happy accidents”? – we do, and this wonderful Trident timepiece offers perfect evidence.
When the first sample cases came through it was obvious we had not been clear enough in the specification file and, instead of a fully brushed case being set in front of us to assess, we were confronted with one that had facets that were both polished as well as brushed.
After the initial groans had faded and before initiating another sampling round, something happened – the more time we spent in the presence of this hybrid, the more apparent it was that we had, by accident, created something special and unique – a design that when teamed with either a complementary bracelet or beautifully hand-crafted leather strap, is a contemporary take on a vintage aesthetic. Modern vintage, positive mistake – this is rich territory for fans of the oxymoron-and in this instance they definitely apply!

Titanium is a strong, light and extremely corrosive resistant metal. Indeed, it has the highest strength-to-density ratio of any metallic element. All-in-all, therefore, it makes a perfect diving companion.
In this new interpretation of the Trident Pro 600 (the 600 refers to the 600 metre/2000 feet water resistance) a symphony of titanium greys have been introduced across all elements of the watch producing a watch that is not only a professional diving tool, but perhaps the most attractive Trident yet conceived.
From the two-tone brushed grey titanium case – the darker grey results from a diamond-like-carbon (DLC) finish, to the matt ceramic insert of the bezel, this is a watch with genuine “on-trend” credentials. The uber-cool looks continue with the matt grey titanium indexes and hands, which are filled with blue emission SuperLuminova, and the warm grey printing of the minute track and brand logo.
Titanium Variation #1, available with a titanium bracelet, new-design rubber or hand-crafted leather straps, is a stunning addition to the acclaimed Trident Collection that, paradoxically, for all its understated style makes the strongest possible statement about its wearer.

The brooding black 43mm case of C60 Trident Titanium Pro 600 Variation #2 is relieved by the sharp white lume of the indexes, hands and numerals of the matt black ceramic bezel. It’s a powerful combination which is appropriate for a watch whose titanium case is finished with a diamond-like-carbon (DLC) coating.
A watch with such “Black ops” appeal inevitably has more than just its masculine good looks to offer. This is a watch that can resist water pressure up to 600 metres (2000 feet) below the surface, has a uni-directional bezel with a matt-finish zirconium ceramic insert and enjoys a precision-engineered fluidity of line that would benefit any water bound covert operation.
Of course, most owners of Trident Titanium Variation #2 will not be members of the Special Boat Service or Navy Seals but, with this most macho of Tridents on the wrist, who will know?

      CW C7 Rapide Chronograph Automatic

      By Admin, in C7,

For those occurrences where something extra special is required, the C7 Rapide Chronograph Automatic sits in pole position. Bold and dynamic, a black and steel colour scheme matches the mechanical precision of the Valjoux 7750 found within its four-piece case.
      Description
Precision, innovative design, and the finest quality materials: essential components for professional racing teams hunting the podium, but also the DNA of our motorsport watches. With a Swiss-made Valjoux 7750 at its core, the C7 Rapide Chronograph Automatic is built upon the finest possible horological foundation.

A strong cohesion of black and steel surfaces, the Chronograph Automatic inherits our four-piece case design, inspired by the aesthetics of powerful modern sportscars. The precision of its construction is emphasised by a matte aluminium central band that accentuates the way its tactile curving lugs coalesce into the remainder of the case. Its form warrants further inspection - and admiration.

That bold colour scheme carries over onto the dial. Its vertically positioned bi-compax dials have received a sunray finish which, when combined with the polished edges of its double size numerals and multi-faceted indexes, captures the light from all angles. Due to those subdials' locations, our award-winning twin flag logo features at 3 o'clock, directly opposite from a small second indicator. A tachymeter and date window offer further functionality, ensuring the C7 Rapide Chronograph Automatic warrants its place as the mechanical king of the Collection.
      Movement
Developed in 1974 by movement maker, Valjoux, the 7750 has been the most widely used mechanical chronograph movement ever since.

One of the first movements to be designed by computer, the 7750 only winds in one direction and this, combined with the heavily weighted rotor arm, gives the movement a singular sound, producing a feeling that the watch is 'alive' on the wrist.

Offering chronograph functionality alongside the precision of its Swiss-made quartz movement, the Quartz Chronograph differentiates itself from the rest of the Collection with lateral bi-compax subdials - ideal for track days, or perhaps just timing how long you've been sat in the rush hour traffic!
      Description
In the world of motorsport, each second counts. The charismatic C7 Rapide Quartz Chronograph can be relied upon to help track every single one of them, thanks to its Swiss-made Ronda movement.

Immediately eye-catching are its two subdials: the first a 30 minute chronograph counter, with the other small seconds; a speedometer-inspired red hand also allows increased timing precision. The outer tachymeter is an obligatory addition to any motorsport watch, while the dial is framed by a fully tracked minute ring. A constant presence throughout the Collection are brushed and polished multi-faceted hands, filled with SuperLuminova for exceptional visibility.

The Quartz Chronograph adopts our distinctive new case design, whose dynamic lines are inspired by the way high-performance cars are constantly streamlined to achieve optimum power and control. Elaborately constructed from four individual parts, their brushed and polished surfaces also result in a slimmer profile on the wrist. Our twin flag logo appears on the crosshatched crown, in addition to being deep stamped into the Rapide's backplate.

Available with three different dial finishes - black; white with black subdials; and green with white - the C7 Rapide Chronograph Quartz is the perfect motorsport watch for those who recognise quality and precision at an outstandingly competitive price.
      Movement
Chosen for the placement of its subdials at 9 and 3 o'clock, the Swiss-made Ronda 5021.D features a 30 minute counter and small second capability, plus add and split functions. Gold-plated on its exterior and with a 54 month battery life, its 10 jewels will reduce friction and maintain reliability over extended periods of time.

Another useful feature is its power saving mechanism: by leaving the crown out, battery usage is reduced by 70%.

Possessing a glorious blue and steel colour palette, the C7 Rapide Chronograph COSC is reminiscent of the breath-taking supercars you see fly around tracks in the modern day. It's also just as exclusive: only 500 have been made.
      Description
Blue, bold, beautiful. Limited to 500 pieces, the C7 Rapide Chronograph COSC is a watch that makes a statement, the same way a supercar does.

Powered by the unerring ETA 251.264, the Chronograph COSC features three subdials, each sporting a concentric design and sunray finish; they form a lively combination of colour and texture. Our twin flag logo sits at 12 o'clock, while the hands of the two upper subdials, plus its speedometer-inspired chronograph second hand, are finished in orange.

A mix of new and old, modern-styled numerals adorn the COSC's blue aluminium bezel, while two vintage style pushers take pride of place next to the crown. As part of our special four-piece case design, a central band - constructed from aluminium to save weight - is finished in matte blue. Its lugs have been individually stamped, turned and milled to achieve their arched shape, influenced by the many powerful chassis shapes recognisable throughout the highest levels of racing.

Precision has always been an intrinsic part of motorsport. The Chronograph COSC is the embodiment of it; not only in its movement, which can track tenths of a second, but also in the delicate blend of blue and steel that makes the Chronograph COSC beautifully unique.
      Movement
When it came to finding the best available movement for the Rapide Chronograph COSC, it quickly became evident the ETA 251.264 BD was the only logical choice. Aside from the usual hours and minute hands (seconds are relocated to a subdial at 6 o'clock), 10th of a second and 12 hour counters work in conjunction with second and minute chronograph hands.

Powered by five stepping motors and featuring ETA's PreciDrive technology, the thermo-compensated 251.264 can regulate its motor pulses based upon changes in ambient temperature, guaranteeing precise timekeeping in a range of climates and conditions. Similarly, its PowerDrive functionality ensures its chronograph motor can speed up to more than 200Hz - in other words, a hyper-sensitive 200 individual hand movements a second.

When combined with 27 jewels that help alleviate friction and improve accuracy, the 251.264 is a byword for accuracy and dependability, as proven by its chronometer certification - only 6% of all Swiss movements achieve this outstanding feat.

With the launch of the C7 Rapide Automatic, we are proud to finally add a three-handed automatic model to our Rapide Collection. Utilising a Swiss-made Sellita SW200-1 movement and featuring our new four-piece case, the Automatic’s dial design will excite those who long for the moment the five red lights go out.
For those who had been waiting for our motorsport collection to add a three-handed automatic option to its ranks, the C7 Rapide Automatic is the thrilling addition they've been waiting for. Thanks to a choice of two bold new dial finishes, it's the perfect mechanical entry to our Rapide Collection.
      Description
With the relaunch of our Rapide Collection, there was no better time to introduce the option of a three-handed automatic watch to our motorsport range. Featuring a Swiss-made Sellita SW200-1 movement, the new C7 Rapide Automatic combines mechanical prowess with an all-new aesthetic and case design. The results are dynamic, detailed and daring.

From one glance at its dial, the Rapide Automatic's automotive influences are immediately apparent: double-height and polished numerals - filled in their centre with SuperLuminova for enhanced legibility - alternate with sloping and faceted indexes. A full minute track with inner triple minute marks provides all-important precision reading the time, its first ten minutes highlighted like a dashboard's rev counter to match the colour of its second hand. Our award-winning 'twin flag' logo appears at 12 o'clock.

The Automatic also features the Rapide Collection's new case design. Comprised of four separate pieces that have been inspired by the sleek architecture of high-performance sports cars, assembly is a complex process. Its lugs, for example - turned and milled to create their distinctive curved shape - also help support the middle part of the case, while a matte black aluminium band provides a slimmer feel. A clever cohesion of smooth arcs and textures, it's rounded off with our twin-flag logo engraved on the crown and its deep-stamped backplate.
      Movement
With 26 jewels and an anti-shock system (necessary for ensuring smooth timekeeping throughout those tight chicanes), the Sellita SW200-1 is a popular automatic movement. Dependable and accurate, it features a self-winding mechanism and a 38 hour power reserve, while a date wheel sits at 3 o'clock.

Boasting a classic frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (that's eight ticks a second), the SW200-1 powers the C7 Rapide Automatic with supreme precision.
